Whispers Of The Earth is a collection of 100 of my original poems which are easily understood by everyone. The majority of my writings are humorous, but there are also romantic poems, and some on some very serious issues.

Author Biography: Jim began writing poetry at the age of 17, for 33 years his writing was exclusively for his bride/wife. At that point, she encouraged him to go public and he has been published in many U.S. magazines. He became known as "Rapid-Fire" - a title bestowed upon him by the local school children based on his ability to provide traditional rhyming poetry in just a few minutes on any subject/title of their choice. His "Rapid-Fire" demonstrations were soon in demand around the local area. He also publishes a semi-monthly poetry magazette titled WRITE ON!! Poetry Magazette of the writing of poets from all over the world.

A little bit of everything!!

Whether you are looking for light hearted, humorous pieces, or thought provoking, serious work....it is all here! Jim is a very talented writer that I have had the honor to 'know' (in an online manner) and share poetry with, both his and my own. Whether you are a poetry buff, or just have a layman's knowledge of poetry, his book will grab and keep your attention. I read the whole thing at once, shortly after it arrived! (And, it did arrive VERY shortly. Five stars to B&N for not making me wait long!) Thanks, Jim for giving me the info to get a copy!! ;)

I found this book to be filled with poetry that brought a smile to my face while reading. Many of the poems are sure to strike the funny bone's fancy. All in all an excellent book of poetry and I recommend purchasing a copy so the poems can be reread over and over. Sure chased my blues away. Robert D. McManes (Mac)

Quick witted humor and familiar scenes make this a heart-warming, uplifting choice to relax with anytime. Easy to understand and visualize. Pure pleasure for all ages. When I feel stressed, and want to unwind, 'Whispers of the Earth' does the trick!

The day my copy of 'Whispers Of The Earth' came was a busy one. Still I thought there would be time for just a quick peak. An hour later I said, 'Hey listen to this one.' So, I can highly recommend this book of poems. Most certain, if you are in need of a pleasant break from work grab a copy, you'll be glad you did. Thanks Jim Garman for the best break. There is wisdom within its pages, and just plain fun!

A Special Collection of Poems

I am pleased to have read some of Jim Garman's poetry in Whispers of the Earth. I feel the poetry possessed an unusual play of words describing familiar scenes-- a witty, spirited approach towards life and love. Two works I particularly relished were 'That Ornary Little Leprechaun,' (a humerous slant on economics and St. Patricks Day), and 'All of a Sudden,' (a colorful verse on the character and changes of season).I also recommend 'The Chris Mouse,' and 'Peaceful Butterfly.' I would read Whispers of the Earth to refresh and listen for a moment to a subtle guitar with a tale to spin.
