As we celebrate the Fourth of July,
there are things we won't let die.
Old Glory still flying high and true,
we're proud of our Red, White, and Blue.
The symbol of our freedom, day and night,
freedom we'll defend though we must fight.
Trampled and burned, yet she still has life,
although all the world's in bitter strife.
Our troops ready to fight, without fear,
so independence doesn't disappear.
Some treat Old Glory like a rag,
we'll join forces in saluting our flag.
You know freedom always has a cost,
there are many lives that were lost.
We have parades, fireworks, and barbecues,
while not ignoring the tragic news.
Our troops being killed and wounded yet today,
insuring that freedom doesn't go away.
No, we're not about to let our freedom die,
long live the U.S.A. and the 4th of July.
